Pros: Lovely stay at Sheppards Hut We had a great stay at Sheppards Hut in Shropshire. Everything was spotlessly clean, cosy, and well looked after. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Would happily stay again if I’m back in the area. Highly recommended.

Perfect for a couple looking for a relaxed, private retreat (who love homemade pizza!).

Pros: The pizza oven was a nice addition, that we really enjoyed (see pictures, we eventually got the knack on the 3rd attempt!). It felt rural and out of the way, but the shops and main road were in close proximity giving easy access to Shrewsbury and surrounding places of interest (Attingham Park).

Cons: We ended up using the bathroom bin as our main bin, so some recycling/food waste bins would have been useful. A minor gripe with a wonderful stay!

Pros: Outstanding facilities, cleanliness, and location. We did not realise that we had all the grounds to ourselves. Everything and more from our experience. Wonderful touches, including the Nespresso coffee to the pizza oven. One of our best mini breaks!

Clean, comfortable and quirky accommodation in a quiet location.

Pros: The setting was excellent - quiet, private and in a woodland clearing. The hut was comfortable, clean, quirky and well equipped. A lovely and refreshing change from the usual B&B.

Cons: Initially quite a challenge to locate because it was off the beaten track, but the owners instructions were clear and once located it was easy to find. The availability of pubs/inns within walking distance that served food was a bit disappointing.

Fantastic tranquil location with great facilities.

Pros: Beautiful location amongst the trees. Great wildlife, very comfortable and well maintained. Fantastic facilities. Would loved to have stayed longer. Will definitely book again when we’re in the area.

Shepherds Hut

Pros: Lovely location and the hut was well kitted out. Size wise a little larger than some huts. Lots of outside seating.

Cons: Inside seating was a little uncomfortable for an older person. Some details of how appliances work would be useful

Adorable 🌷

Pros: The hut was beautiful ❀️ We had everything we needed! It was all clean and really cared for with attention to detail. The bed and bedding was perfect and the kitchen had everything we needed for the 3 days. We loved the library hut! Such a great idea and lots of reading choice. The location was great and easy access to Shrewsbury.

Amazing short break

Pros: Amazing little home from home. Small but perfectly formed. Quiet and relaxing location with great outdoor area.

Cons: If I had to find one thing it would be a bigger or full length mirror if one could be fitted somewhere (but that is coming from a vain female and not likely to be a priority for others)

Beautiful relaxing place

Pros: Beautiful place with lots of space, fully enclosed, which made it perfect for dogs. Generally good facilities. The location is great: close to Lyth Hill for lovely walks and easily accessible to Shrewsbury by bus or car. A great spot to unwind for a few relaxing days , we'd definitely like to revisit.

Cons: These would not stop us from revisiting and they don't take away the beauty of the place. Just feedback. Communication could have been a bit better – we had to chase for arrival details a couple of days beforehand, though once we got in touch, the information came quickly. So thank you. Some questions (like about the food hamper, recycling, and barn lighting) went unanswered or were responded to a day after our arrival. It would be useful to have an info pack on how things work. A kettle would be a helpful addition, as boiling water on the electric stove took over 10 mins. The oven could have been cleaned more thoroughly, was full of crumbs. Extra pillows would be appreciated. The outside furniture could do with a quick clean before guests' arrival, the cushions was covered in bird droppings, both sides for some. The motion sensor lamp in the barn is great for energy saving, but it turns off every few minutes - a switch would be better. We let the host know that we left and that we’d tidied up, though we didn’t get a reply – not a big issue, but an acknowledgement would have been appreciated.
