Perfect stay! Lovely, cosy, super quiet but just a short walk from town! Will come back!
Pros: Sarah was very welcoming, super kind and lovely. She had some bread and butter prepared for my arrival, and a delicious piece of cake. She was always helpful and available while at the same let me be very independent. The view from the hut is stunning and you can hear the birds. It felt so cosy. Lovely books to browse in the hut and in the kitchen while having a tea. Perfectly equipped kitchen to cook a comfort meal. Spotless and spacious bathroom.
Cons: Nothing at all to dislike. Just make sure you carry some flip-flops. The bathroom is across the yard and on cold wet days, you will need them to jump out of bed to the toilet in the middle of the night :-)

Great place to stay
Pros: We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival. The host clearly takes pride in ensuring that the guests have everything that they need and even supplied delicious homemade cakes. The kitchen and bathroom are both spacious, and the bed was super comfortable.
Cons: There was an issue with the security light which made finding our way between the Shepherd's hut, kitchen and bathroom difficult in the dark. Once mentioned, Sarah provided a torch which helped.

Perfect Getaway
Pros: Sarah the host was lovely and welcoming. Her brownies left for us were delicious. We've never stayed in a shepherds hut but the hut, and the private bathroom and kitchen were spotless and stocked with all essentials. We took advantage of one of Sarah's breakfasts which again, was delicious and a great way to start the day. The location is perfect and the views and clear skies were incredible. We had a mix of weather but it was so cosy in the hut. We wish we could have stayed longer. The hut was so peaceful and quiet so we had great nights sleep.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.

A great stay for our first visit to Powys and I'd happily return to Malarkey Manor.
Pros: The breakfast was full English and after eating it I was certainly full. The owner, Sarah, was the most accommodating I have ever experienced; nothing was too much trouble and always with a smile. The location was great, even though it was near the top of a rather steep hill, with great views across the valley and if you are mobile, close to shops, pubs, etc. Sarah even picked us up from the station and dropped us back again, which was so good given that I can't walk far.
Cons: Not a thing.

Lovely spot and great Host
Pros: Sarah was so lovely. We ended up getting there later than planned and Sarah waited up to meet us. The location was great, very quiet, just a short walk down the hill to the little village if you needed anything. We were attending a wedding near by and Sarah was lovely enough to offer us a lift to the venue, which was very much appreciated! Everything was clean and the hut was a good temperature considering it was a heat wave that weekend!! Cannot recommend enough! Thanks again Sarah!

Perfect place to stay
Pros: Lovely setting with a large garden and amazing views of the wooded valley, making it feel like you're surrounded by nature despite the central location in Knighton. The facilities are ample and clean, with good cooking facilities, and a nice toilet & shower. These are part of the host's house, so you walk across the drive to get to them Very friendly and accommodating host, and a great place to stay in the area. Our host, Sarah, is a fabulous cook and made a delicious birthday cake and huge pot of ratatouille for us to take to a local campsite, where the rest of our party were staying. Sarah's Posh Puds is the name of that arm of her enterprise, absolutely wonderful food.
Cons: The toilet/shower room has a low ceiling, so if you are 6ft or above, you will need to duck to use the shower. The shepherd's hut itself is very nice, with a comfortable bed, and decking with chairs looking over the beautful view. It gets very hot during the day, and at night would likely get cold (though we were there during a warm spell), so might not be suitable to those sensitive to hot or cold temperature

A lovely experience, a lovely host, as well as a lovely place to stay.
Pros: I couldn't fault this place, its facilities and also the wonderful host, Sarah. My car was safe under a carport and close by. Gorgeous shepherds hut with brilliant extras added (cakes, breakfast, robes, hairdryer, birdwatching gear, outside areas for relaxing, fans, brollies..) with a large modern kitchen and bathroom all to yourself. You get total peace and privacy. Sarah is friendly, welcoming and goes above and beyond to make your stay a happy one. (my car broke down and she was incredibly helpful in getting me on the road - an absolute lifesaver! Thank you so much!)
Cons: Nothing!

Sarah the host was friendly and helpful and cooked an amazing breakfast and I hope to be able to return there again
Pros: It was comfortable, clean, and full of character. The bathroom was modern with a big walk-in shower and the kitchen clean and well equipped. There was a good space for parking the car.
