Pros: The location on the canal was lovely. The cottage was cosy and loved the wood burner as the weather was as expected in February.

Cons: We didn't see our hosts, who were on site, so couldn't purchase any more logs. However, I am sure we could have knocked on their door.

We had a great stay at this lovely, canalside cottage and would love to return sometime.

Pros: A very homely, well kitted out property, with all that we needed for a 2 night stay. A very picturesque canalside location, perfect for walking into Brecon (4 miles) and a great local pub - The Royal Oak - a mile away. The Autumn colours along the canal were a highlight.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The location of the property was excellent. Just over the bridge to the canal path which was ideal for dog walks. The hosts were very accomodating.

Comfortable cottage with everything you need for short holiday

Pros: Comfy beds, all essentials provided such as dish washer tablets and bucket of logs

Cons: The extractor in the bathroom didn’t work so got very steamy. The bin didn’t work very well. Handle on microwave loose and it didn’t work very well.

Outstanding couple of days - thank you!

Pros: The cottage was exactly as we expected and was beautifully presented and in a stunning location. Wonderfully on such hot days, the cottage stays lovely and cool. Rachel and Sid were super helpful and very flexible for us.

Pros: Very clean. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was always hot. Also the little comforts like shower/wash/shampoo was nice also. I forgot to take my tea bags and was surprised to see a supply .

Cons: The cottage was smaller than expected. Also we think the windows needed net curtains to have more privacy. We also tried to light the log burner but it was full of Ash.

Dog friendly secluded location close to hiking and mountain bike trails

Pros: I am familiar with Brecon and spent many hours over the years hiking & mountain biking there so know the location well. All I wanted was somewhere to stay that was dog friendly, was close to the trails and routes and in a quiet secluded place so I could have some peace and quiet too. Well I wasn't disappointed. What a fabulous place. The cottage was amazing and the only sounds were birdsong. Within a minute the dog & I were onto our trails from the front door. Fab dog friendly pub about 20 minutes along the canal too which did great food and real ale. Rachel and Sid were lovely too. I will definitely stay again, and hopefully very very soon. Amazing stay.
