Perfect escape to the countryside.

Pros: Stunning location surrounded by Welsh hills, Mountains and rivers, perfect for getting away from the rat race. Alison met us on arrival and was friendly and welcoming, then for the duration of our stay we were left to our own devices. The communication from Alison and Dan was top notch, the cottage has most things you would expect at home, and is very clean and presentable, Make sure you bring everything you might need however as there are no shops nearby, we forgot to bring washing powder/pods and we couldn't find any in the cottage but we got by with a soapy pre wash in the sink before using the washing machine. We stayed for 3 nights and our stay was a perfect escape we loved the peace and quiet, not even the rain could dampen our enthusiasm. We would 100 percent recommend.

Cons: This is not really what we didn't like it's just a few observations so that you are fully informed if you are thinking of booking the cottage. The staircase in the cottage is as noted in the description, a narrow wooden spiral staircase that if you had mobility issues could be a problem we are a 45-55 yr old fully fit couple and we managed fine with it, and having said this you could easily spend your stay downstairs if you wished. The road approaching the property is a single track rough lane that gets quite steep as you approach the property which is to be expected in such a remote location so be forewarned, cars and our campervan were fine going up just don't expect smooth tarmac.

Cosy cottage in North Wales

Pros: A cosy and relaxing cottage with great forestry walks nearby to explore with the dogs

Cons: The only drawback was there isn't an enclosed garden for the dogs
