Caer Dderwen Oak Field family home in Dolgellau

Pros: We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house was stunning and beautifully maintained, with everything we could possibly need provided. It was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into making guests feel comfortable and at home. The location was perfect — peaceful and scenic, with breathtaking mountain views right from the bedroom window. Waking up to that view each morning was truly special. The beds were extremely comfortable, which made our stay even more relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and well-equipped home in a fantastic location.

Cons: The only small downside was that the bathrooms were a bit cold, but this did not take away from what was otherwise a fantastic stay.

Pros: The house was placed on nice area for walk and was not to far to the local shop. Again, very nice area..

Pros: Fantastic views from an ideal location close to town

Cons: A few more mugs and more space for food storage would be useful. Also, the control for the shower in the main bathroom was stiff

We all agreed what a fabulous few days we had together

Pros: It was our first trip to North Wales and the location was a perfect base for driving out and sight seeing. Also there was an absolutely beautiful little town a few minutes drive away. We found the house so open and spacious for our large family group and wonderful for the two young children who loved the pool table and space the room offered.

Cons: The garden wasn’t fully secure for dogs but the host said this will be rectified as soon as possible . There are a couple of planks that can be used temporarily.

The house is very comfortable and well equipped. It's also close to many beautiful places to visit.

Pros: The house is on the edge of a small housing estate. You can climb up Cader Idris from the house.

A lovely family Christmas with some great walking.

Pros: Well placed for some wonderful hiking. Comfortable, warm and clean.

Cons: The booking process was a bit stressful with two companies involved and each saying something slightly different!

Had a fantastic time with fantastic weather too. Enjoyed exploring wales and the local beaches and towns. Had a problem

Pros: Set in a very quiet setting with very few passing cars. Great views from the house of surrounding mountains and town 5 min drive away. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of comfy beds kids loved playing pool on an evening.

Cons: Would be nice if garden was totally enclosed off with gates as both sides of the house had open access so we had to make barriers so dogs couldn’t escape. Whilst it wasn’t far to town, going down was fine but coming back up could be a challenge for some as it’s very steep roads back up.
