An amazing weekend in an incredible home and location.

Pros: The property is outstanding. We felt very lucky to be staying in such an incredible building. It’s more like a museum. Beds were super comfy. Kitchen Equipt. The house is enormous, never ending. We played a game of traitors, and the house was PERFECT for it. We want to return

Cons: Two days wasn’t enough to take it all in. Parts of the house were cold, but expected in a house so old and huge. Also visited in February, would love to come back in summer to see more of outdoors

The most perfect Christmas house for our family of 14!

Pros: We stayed over Christmas and this house could not have been more perfect. Absolutely everything plus more that it describes and that the photos show. Beautiful location, fab for the dogs, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen equipment, plenty of rooms if you want to spread out but also the dining room and main room as you walk in were plenty big enough for all 14 of us. Lots of toilet roll and masses of fire wood which we were so grateful for. Had a fab game of hide n seek in the dark which some found spooky but most of us loved. For anyone thinking it’s going to be a scary house it’s not, it had a lovely calm feeling about it n no ghosts were spotted 🤣🤣. Thank you to Ben and Beth for sharing this beautiful house with us, it really has been a Christmas my family will never forget.

Cons: There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

Pros: A one of a kind property, with sprawling grounds and a labyrinth of rooms. Wonderful balance of period features with modern comforts. Tons of space for groups, fire pit, bbq, games room, dining rooms.

Cons: Although not a problem for us, it’s worth checking the floor plan as some rooms/bathrooms are only accessible by walking through other rooms. Enjoyed the games room but would be even better if there was a fridge in there!

Hogwarts meets jumanji all in one. Spooky at night

Pros: Beautiful, felt like we were staying in a museum, lovely location

Cons: The history of it and the way it had been kept, just beautiful took a while to find your way around, often getting lost

Pros: Best thing,all crockery available,everything available for personal cooking,no problem at all,all dryers,fridge,cabinets mostly got everything needed

Fantastic stay!

Pros: The house was wonderful- the kind of place that you really just have to see in real life. It is grand but also very comfortable. The bedrooms especially are very comfortable. The facilities were also great. The kitchen is kitted out with all you need (including a very large cafetiere!), and there are plenty of bathrooms, all very clean and with plenty of hot water. The games room was a lovely touch, with a pool table, table football and a ping pong table. We also had a fire in the evening in the glorious fireplace! Finally the location is great. While I’d recommend visiting a bigger town on the way like Bangor or Porthmadog to do a big shop before arriving (there’s PLENTY of fridge and freezer space). But for everything else, beaches, views, etc you could not ask for a better location. Besides, once you’re there, you’ll hardly want to leave! Thank you so so much to the hosts for such a wonderful stay- we will certainly be coming back.

Cons: There was nothing we didn't like that would stop us from going back.
