Upper Onibury Cottages

Fantastic family holiday cottage for large groups.

Pros: The 6 bedroom cottage was immaculate, clean and accessible for the elderly members of our group. All the bedrooms are ensuite. Beautiful rural location. Fantastic pool. Great sofa to accommodate large groups, so you can all sit and chat comfortably.

Cons: Not a reflection on the property at all (as not their fault) but we struggled to get any taxis to pick us up from the property, including those whos numbers were in the property handbook - they didn't have availability. We tried Uber but were quoted over £140 for what is effectively a 10 minute trip! This was a shame as it meant two of our group had to be designated drivers to get us into Ludlow. Just something to consider if you are planning to go out for dinner/ drinks of an evening. Could do with a new toaster and tin opener, but these are minor issues, really. Overall, it was fantastic!

Very relaxing break would have liked a longer stay.

Pros: Lovely location with views and a very tranquil setting. The pool is a wonderful bonus.

A peaceful retreat with good amenities, but cleanliness issues affected our experience.

Pros: On the positive side, communication was smooth, the location was peaceful, and the cottage was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. The welcome touches, like the bottle of wine, milk, and biscuits, were appreciated, and there was plenty of space for us and our dog. There’s also a swimming pool, tennis, and badminton courts available.

Cons: However, we were disappointed by the cleanliness of the cottage. The entrance was dirty, with cigarette butts and spider webs. We found stained pillows under the cases, hairs on the duvet and towels, and some towels even had hard yellow stains. The kitchen wasn’t in the best shape either – there was a greasy bowl in the sink, and all the dishes and cutlery were dirty, so we had to wash everything before using it. The dining table was sticky, and overall, the place felt outdated and not very clean. The sofas were also a letdown, with only one being comfortable. It’s a shame because the cottage has so much potential, but the lack of cleanliness made our stay less enjoyable. Given the condition of the cottage, I would have been very disappointed if I had paid the full price. Thankfully, I had a discount through frequent bookings, but I hope the management addresses these issues so future guests can have a better experience.

Wonderful, relaxing retreat in beautiful surroundings!

Pros: Nestled in beautiful countryside on a quiet working farm in a dog friendly, comfortable cottage where nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff team. The swimming pool was available to us everyday which was the icing on the cake. An added bonus was a delightful pub at the bottom of the lane and the magical charm of Ludlow just 10 minutes away. We didn't want to leave this wonderful place and hope to return soon.

Cons: There was nothing not to like.

Excellent relaxation holiday perfect

Pros: It was pure peace n quiet n family time n the pool opens at 9 every morning which is great you just go and book your time slot on the day, the woman who runs it was very friendly and helpful and the location is stunning and it's amazing if u wanna get away with the family 😁

Cons: The directions to the place and pictures of how to get there need to be clearer because Google maps stops before you actually get there. And driving around looking for it is frustrating.

Pros: Beautiful location, far reaching views, relaxing experience, superb swimming pool

Really lovely!

Pros: The site is beautiful, the house was comfortable and well equipped (though the kitchen utensils could do with a revamp). The pool was warm and easy to access. We had a lovely time.

Cons: It would have been great to have a bit of a grassy patch outside the cottage, like all the others. There is only one washing machine available for guests. It would be great to have another one, to avoid queues. The pool table and pingpong table and equipment were in dire state. Perhaps renewing them and asking guests to be respectful of the facilities (and supervising once in a while) would help.

Loved the area and enjoyed out stay.

Pros: Selfcatering but hosts left bread butter milk and biscuits for us on arrival also coffee tea and sugar which is helpful if you are just wanting to relax when you first arrive.

Cons: The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed the only negative was the sofas were uncomfortable. Overalls lovely break.

Pros: De omgeving, rust, reinheid, ruimte en privacy. De service. Toen we geen water hadden, werd er direct actie ondernomen

Cons: Waterdruk dat erg wisselde, ontvangst was onduidelijk. Als wij een naam van het huisje hadden gekregen en de plek waar de sleutel lag, was dat beter geweest. Ik heb vooraf gecommuniceerd met de eigenaar. Toch vergat men deze info door te geven
