Great property in beautiful location

Pros: Cottage is very comfortable and part of a farm perched up on a hill. Location is superb to travel around the top half of Wales or to undertake more vigorous walking activities. Cottage is entirely self catering and whilst there is a small shop/post office in the village you might want to come with a few necessities. The family are very welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed my (too short !) stay - highly recommend this property if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the Welsh countryside for a few days or weeks!

An idyllic stay on a working farm: cute lambs; friendly cat; lovely hosts.

Pros: The family who own the property are lovely, and they live in the house to which the property is attached. It is a working farm. Also the farmyard cat is super cute and friendly. It was lambing season and there were wonderful lambs leaping about in the fields by the property and their mothers' bleating was a soundstrack to my stay. There is plenty of wonderful walking to be done right from the door, and also from a short drive, to Lake Vyrnwy for example, or to Pistyll Rhaeadr. The post office / shop in the village is well stocked for your basic needs and has lovely staff. The lovely village of Llan Rhaeadr has great facilities with a cafe in the post office that does wonderful coffee and bacon baps, as well as a good Spar shop, and pubs which I didn't get to visit on this occasion, but will in the future. Back to the apartment - it is comfortable, clean, well-provisioned and has lovely views. But the hosts are the best thing - super lovely people.

Pros: It was perfectly suited for what we needed, to get out of the busy life and slow down, recharge. It was so nicely quiet and we had the luck to see the whole area under snow
