We had a wonderful time. Property is amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Pros: The house is beautiful. It is very well equipped and has everything you need in the kitchen. Beautiful views from the property. A taxi into Shrewsbury takes about 20 mins and costs about Β£12.
Cons: One thing we struggled with was the size of the fridge. Only 1 small fridge in the kitchen which had to fit all food and drinks. The shelf that usually holds the milk was missing so It was a bit of a struggle to get everything we had in there. A larger fridge in the utility area would be so much more convenient. Also a minor thing .. no full length mirror in the property. But that is feedback from 5 women !!!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Patches and would definitely return
Pros: The house was beautiful and the photos on the website did not do it justice. It was lovely and cosy, and was very well equipt. The hot tub was lovely and had the most amazing view
Cons: The hot tub was not switched on and therefore we were not able to use it on the first night/following morning as it was not hot enough there were no instructions to indicate that this was the case or how to switch it on. The cottage was a little difficult to find; the postcode did not take you to the address, and even Googling the house did not take you exactly to the entrance; a sign from the road would be helpful

A wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend staying here!
Pros: We loved pretty much everything and was a wonderful break for the start of the year! The property was a great size, was clean and tidy and had a real homely feel. The hot tub was amazing in the snow and the underfloor heating was well received in the sub zero temperatures!
Cons: We wanted to cook a lot and found the kitchen was lacking in a lot of what we would think of as basics. No foil, cooking trays were not adequate, no cooking oil, no roasting pansβ¦. So we did have to leave to go and purchase items in order to use the kitchen properly, which was our only disappointment, but had we have known we could have bought things from home. Certainly didnβt ruin the experience though!

It was brilliant, so peaceful, yet in easy access to Shrewsbury and other tourist places to visit
Pros: The location is idyllic, peaceful and quiet. it had good access, ample parking. It has a downstairs bedroom and w/c. The photos don't do the location justice.
Cons: Its not a didn't like, just an observation that would have made our stay easier, and that would be for the downstairs w/c to have had a shower, so the downstairs bedroom could have access to a shower , ie for elderly or disabled that may find stairs difficult, or to use when coming in from the hot tub.

Happy family time - comfortable- cosy will stay again
Pros: It was set in a stunning location with parking, it was clean. They thought of everything from toys, games, high chair, travel cot. It had a lot of thought towards families with children.

Great stay in a beautiful cottage, in a wonderful location.
Pros: Beautiful location. Perfect house. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: We asked if it was possible to have a travel cot at the property. We did not get a reply (or a travel cot). There were a few unwelcome visitors - in the form of giant European hornets (there appeared to be a small nest in the utility room) - but you're out in the countryside - so this is to be expected.
