Excellent hotel with great staff!!

Pros: Firstly all of the staff are a credit to this hotel, restaurant and bar. There is nothing that I can fault. There was lots of choice of food and it was home cooked and outstanding. There are no cooking facilities in the cottages but honestly, with the high standard of food in the restaurant you wouldn't want to eat anywhere else. Every member of staff that we met was friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The area that the hotel is situated in is right in the middle of an area of outstanding natural beauty, and it is in a good location for beaches, local attractions and castles. The cottage that we stayed in was cosy & clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend and will definetley be looking at going back to The Grapes hotel!!!

Cons: I can't fault anything really but the only thing that I would change would be a little fridge in the cottage would have been nice.

A location with a classic ambience.

Pros: The staff members were very friendly, the location was convenient, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities were satisfactory. The location would likely be excellent during the summer months; despite the compact size of the rooms, the cottage itself was pleasant, featuring a small reception area.

Cons: The room's size is somewhat compact, which is understandable given that it is an older cottage. However, for a 4-star rating, one might expect additional amenities such as slippers, a bathrobe, and more personal care items. There was no wardrobe, and some less accessible areas had accumulated a significant amount of dust.

Pros: Kind of sort of everything. Although it was a very brief (work) stay so not much opportunity to enjoy anyything. I arrived very late, and left very early. I did have time for breakfast. That was awesome. The room itself was not at all like a typical hotel room. It had bags of character (stone walls...). It was warm and comfy, so I wanted for nothing.

Cons: Lol. The Welsh weather usually has room for improvement

Beautiful one night cottage stay

Pros: Cottage number 1. Full of character, two floors, cute, cosy, modern, quirky. We loved it. Staying one night in Dec. Zip world Lechwedd 13 minutes drive where we went for a Christmas experience. All the best, very enjoyable stay!

Pros: Food was excellent. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Place located in a beautiful area, away from built up, noisy roads.

Cons: A little more care and attention to detail would not go amiss. Window blind in our room was defective. Toilet seat kept coming loose. Radiator was not particularly effective. Wash basin was cracked.
