Enjoyable stay in a nicely renovated historical building
Pros: Cosy feeling - well equipped - practical when you are travelling with a dog
Cons: I’m less convinced by the bedding. Extremely soft double bed but then, the choice of a mattress is very personal…

Beautiful setting, gorgeous decorated cottage, great location. Dog restrictions
Pros: Lovely accommodation in a very isolated village. The decor at the place was beautiful, and it felt very comfortable and cosy and very modern. Gorgeous set up with an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge that had a wonderful barn door that opened to reveal a picture postcard view of a Welsh hillside. Very calming, peaceful and well presented accommodation. We choose to have the double bed set ups which were comfy and the bedrooms and bathroom were all beautifully decorated, lovely touches such as blankets, extra cushions, toiletries etc. The facilities were great with games, books, and thoughtful teas etc. Lovely feel to the accommodation. Owner welcomed us and lots of info on nearby lovely places to visit which are all stunning and gorgeous. Owner friendly and available.
Cons: The parking on street was a challenge as we were told there was a cycle event on elsewhere which meant parking near to the property was not nearby. The owner offered to give us their parking which was nice. Please be aware that although you can park further away from the property on street you will need to walk and it is uphill. There is also the fear of side mirrors being knocked as very narrow carriageway. The local shop/cafe in Corris had run out of milk and essentials so the nearest place was a drive away. Bring your own food, bread, milk, cooking oil and essentials for your kitchen as they are not provided and not closely available with shopping. Feels isolated. No nearby takeaways so plan food ahead such as breakfasts. Corris is stunning but isolated. The owner lives upstairs and it feels very close with a shared door access, although all you can hear are occasional footsteps. Neighbours are friendly. There is no garden just a very small front boundary big enough for a bench but you are very adjacent to the road (not busy at all) but it's not suitable for dogs to use. Lots of restrictions for dog owners, no dogs urinating in front oaved boundary area, no dogs on beds, no dogs on furniture, no dogs in bedrooms, no dogs in bathroom area. We felt very aware of our dogs and the restrictions made it slightly uncomfortable worrying about the dogs touching anything. Dog friendly walks nearby were limited for morning and night relief, you may need to drive nearby depending on dog breed. although there is a small hilly green area for the public located opposite, this was covered in fox poo and very steep and uneven and not lit. We had to ask if we could light and set up a disposable bbq to at the front boundary space, which was allowed by the owner who did say its not something they allow but they did so reluctantly.

Cosy rock cottage.
Pros: With having an L shaped living kitchen, the kitchen wad nicely separate from the living space.
Cons: Would be good to have a pint of milk on arrival as the shops are so far away.
