When asking for directions, remember it’s ‘Kunwid’ not ‘Kinwid’. V comfortable stay and went on some lovely walks.

Pros: All the facilities I need, comfy bed, less than 5 minutes walk from the bus stop for Bala and Llangollen.

Brilliant stay!

Pros: Quiet, so peaceful. Lovely little lodge, comfortable, cosy. Beds were so comfy. Loved the layout. Wales is just an all round beautiful country - we will be back!

Cons: Nothing - can’t fault it.

One night stay near to Lake Bala

Pros: The microlodge is in a beautiful location and it had everything we needed. The owners were extremely friendly and very accommodating.

Pros: Such a cozy little lodge, wonderfully provisioned. Perfect for the little stay close to the wedding venue we attended. So helpful too!

Pros: It was a warm and cosy lodge equipped with everything we needed.

Cons: The toilet was outside but there is nothing that could be done about this! We were very grateful to have our own bathroom. Thank you

This was a great place to stay will book again!

Pros: It was immaculately clean and well kept. Especially the bathroom. There was tea, sugar, hot chocolate etc, all stocked for our use. Grace and Dan even had eggs and milk for us upon arrival. The bathroom and bedroom were a really good size, perfect for two people or a family with a one child. The location was great, you could see the views from the bedroom window. The wifi signal was super, we were able to snuggle up in the evening and stream a movie on Netflix. There was a torch in the lodge which came in very handy when walking back from the local pub at night. We had a pet dog with us, for which Grace and Dan provided a blanket, bowls, treats and pop bags. It was a very sweet touch.

Cons: There was a little confusion when we were checking in, as we drove right past the location, but the lovely neighbour directed us to the right place. Maybe a clearer sign to the lodge on the property gate would be helpful.

Popolar Lodge was a very convenient base for our two-day exploration of the area.

Pros: Th self catering lodge was very well located for our travel plans. The essentials were there for catering for our couple of days. There was a very welcome added bonus of fresh eggs, milk and Welshcakes. We thought the separate private bathroom might be an issue for night time use, but it was ok as it didn't rain!

Cons: With the lodge being one room, having a fridge that operates on and off during the night disturbed our sleep, but a fridge is essential in the summer.

Cons: A mirror in the cabin would have been useful as no plug (obviously) in the bathroom So I wasn’t able to straighten my hair
