Quiet, comfortable, warm, well equipped.

Pros: Location was really quiet. We were only there for one night and would certainly recommend a longer stay as the facilities were excellent.

Cons: Everything was superb, so nothing negative to report.

Excellent stay

Pros: Exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful place to enjoy calm, quiet countryside. Owner was very kind to let us meet her horses. When I booked I got a very clear message of what to expect, how to find them and what to look out for in surrounding areas and things available for convenience. Will definitely look to book again for longer, idyllic place.

I'd defintely consider staying again and I'm happy to recommend Calf Cotts.

Pros: I booked at short notice and was very pleased with the accommodation. As a single traveller, it can be expensive booking self catering but this offered real value for money. It's in a lovely location and there's lots to do in the area. It's advertised as an apartment but it's much more than that - it's really a mini cottage, with a ground floor living room and an upstairs bedroom/shower room. Sue was a very friendly host, who was happy to let you just get on with it.

Cons: The only things that let it down were the uncomfortable settee. A really comfy arm chair, which you can place to watch the TV, might be a good alternative . I'd also have appreciated a fridge with an ice box so I could refreeze my ice blocks.

Pros: Wonderful facilities, well equipped, very clean and spacious. Beautiful setting and Sue was on hand if needed and very hospitable. Would stay again! Considerably cheaper than chain hotels nearby.

Great value for business trips, and individuals needing simple accommodation.

Pros: Host was extremely helpful and friendly. Facilities were all that was needed. Extremely clean. For me, the only down side was the pillows were too hard. But that's a personal preference and by no means a criticism. WiFi was free and quick. Perfect for my work.

Pros: Lovely stay here, the cottage was homely, clean and spacious. It was perfect for us, the host Sue was great and very accommodating.

Family visit

Pros: Lovely stay all as described. Location is great with walks right on the doorstep and so quiet.

A lovely peaceful stay which was just what I needed
