The Old House Apartment

A lovely stay in a great location, full of character

Pros: Lovely apartment full of character. The hosts were really lovely and had left so many little extras such as milk and snacks to help make our stay even easier.

I would thoroughly recommend this property for a short stay in Shrewsbury

Pros: Very individual, quirky. Well situated for shops, bars, restaurants. Nice outlook towards the river. Peaceful.

Cons: We ended up parking across the river in an industrial estate opposite a veterinary hospital/ dental practice (for free). Bit of a walk but manageable. We found it difficult to try to turn down the heating in the bedroom.

Great for a short visit to meet up with family and to explore the town.

Pros: Location right in the centre of town, so shops, cafes etc within a 5 min walk. No parking space, but a loading bay to drop off luggage. A huge, extremely comfortable bed. Fast communication with the hosts.

Cons: The stairs up to the apartment are very steep. The kitchen area was quite dark and would benefit from under counter lights. A comfy chair in seating area would be good.

Pros: Very good, best bed we've ever slept in, we were given lots of treats, biscuits, cakes and wine

Historic surroundings and modern living!

Pros: The apartment is beautifully furnished and ideally situated. And the bath was very welcome!

Cons: No problems whatsoever!

Excellent location, amazing accommodation already booked a return visit for longer

Pros: It was beautifully decorated, had a lovely shower & a big bath. Lots of thoughtful little extras including porridge & breakfast bits, tea & coffee.

Cons: Nothing. Maybe curtains in the bedroom for the winter when lights go on at 16.00

Lovely apartment stay

Pros: The property is beautiful, well furnished, with a lovely view of the garden and the river out of the bedroom window. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay including tea, coffee, towels, toiletries etc. The host was really helpful too. We would definitely stay here again

Pros: Location was great and size of the rooms. Genuinely old authentic build. Bed was so comfortable

Cons: The weather was very hot but we couldn't open the windows

Fantastic historic building in a perfect location.

Pros: Very pleased with our trip to Shrewsbury, the apartment was perfectly located and Anna who was managing the property was extremely helpful and made sure we had what we needed and were happy with everything. Its a unique property with a lot of character which made for a very interesting place to stay, with great facilities and lots of space. Plenty of options for nearby car parking or public transport links and access to everything in Shrewsbury.

Heerlijk!

Pros: Erg mooi appartement in een historisch pand. Centraal gelegen in Shrewsbury met alle voorzieningen op loopafstand.
