The Agents House

Fantastic stay!

Pros: We stayed at Josie’s Annexe adjoining the Agent’s House. James and Fiona were friendly and welcoming, provided great recommendations for our dinner out and even booked us a table at Rhydspence Inn because it was Valentine’s Day and we hadn’t made a booking prior. The room was warm and tastefully decorated, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was a rainy weekend so we enjoyed coming back to the Annexe after visiting all the quaint shops and bookstores at Hay. The breakfasts were wonderful, I highly recommended the poached pear! Overall, a delightful stay.

Pros: The Agents House was beautiful, very calming, super friendly staff… it was just what we needed!

Pros: This was a really luxurious stay, the room was really generous in size, beautifully decorated. Had lovely views and had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.

Cons: We needed to take our shoes off which was understandable given it was wet outside, but we could have done with a small bench /chair and perhaps some guest slippers.

The owners were so welcoming and helpful, the property was in a beautiful location just 10 minutes drive from Hay.

Pros: The property was a beautiful traditional house. The bedroom was beautifully decorated with all facilities you could need.

You couldn’t ask for a more welcoming and comfortable stay.

Pros: A beautiful B&B in a great location near the amazing Hay on Wye. Hosts were welcoming and friendly. Everything you need in a cozy bedroom with super en suite. We had the best nights sleep in a comfortable bed with excellent pillows. A rare find in this beautiful part of the country. The breakfast was outstanding! We would recommend without reservation. We will definitely return.

Wonderful Whitney on Wye!

Pros: Great location and fantastic hosts. Great pubs nearby with tasty well priced food and drinks including the Sun Inn.

A beautiful, comfortable B&B next to the river. Wonderful hosts and excellent breakfast.

Pros: We loved the house and our room which was was spacious and comfortable. There was lots of choice of tea and coffee or other drinks. The shower was particularly good. There was an wide range of breakfast choices and the food was excellent. Lovely fresh coffee too. Our hosts were very welcoming and happy to chat. It felt like staying with friends!

Perfect dog friendly stay in a delightful area.

Pros: This is a super spot to stay and we had a little cottage to ourselves and our dog. Easy dog walking immediately outside. The cottage had a kitchenette, very comfy bed and a spotless bathroom. We also had a lovely view across the orchard/garden. The electric blinds made it very easy to oversleep as they were very efficient at shutting out the light and could be operated from the bed, adding to the laziness of our stay! Our hosts were charming and the breakfast choices were excellent and beautifully cooked. Parking is available right outside. It was a fantastic base to explore from. Quiet and peaceful at night. Very good Italian restaurant walking distance and a local pub strolling distance. 5 star!

Cons: Nothing! The whole visit was delightful.

Pros: The room was great, the bathroom huge, the couple running it were very professional, location was good and breakfast fantastic. They even had an honesty bar.
