It was the perfect retreat for some walking and relaxation.

Pros: I loved the fact that you felt you were in a real rural location but it was still relatively near all the local amenities .

Cons: For me personally I would prefer a bathroom with a bath

Perfect. Will be back for sure.

Pros: What a great place. Beautiful surroundings, in the quiet countryside yet only a 10 min walk to the centre of Bala. Plenty of room for our party of 3 guys. Nice big kitchen with a few essentials provided (and much appreciated), lounge/dining area was very spacious and welcoming and the beds were sooooo comfy. The whole place was everything we were hoping for and more. I definitely recommend. Special thanks to the owner (unfortunately I forget to get his name) for helping to start my car.

Cons: Nothing. Everything was great and will definitely be back.

Amazing place to stay.

Pros: Lovely located on the top of the hill with amazing view over the town. Really cosy interior, kitchen has all you might need when cooking. Amazing stay despite the weather.

Cons: Two things, not a bit thing. Squeaky floor. We were thinking we must disturb people leaving downstairs all the time we walk! The sign to the property. We arrived quite late - would be great if the sign was a bit bigger.

Pros: Excellent host, beautiful and full of character ‘home from home’, festive touches throughout the property which were very much appreciated (we stayed there over Christmas). Very clean and well maintained property, everything that we needed was there!

Beautiful escape from reality.

Pros: This was our second visit to Hen Ysgubor. The hosts are very helpful and on site if there are any issues. The property is excellent for a restful get away, well furnished and comfortable. Everything you could wish for. We would definately recommend it. Extremely clean and tidy and has stunning views from both the front and back of the property. We will be returning.

Cons: We loved everything about it no negatives at all.
