A most enjoyable venue for family gathering.

Pros: Secluded location with great walks in the area and magnificent views. The house was adequate for our needs with an exceptionally well-equiipped kitchen. A comfortable living area and generous dining room, our large group was able to use communal space to the full.

Pros: The check in process was smooth, the host contactable as needed, the house was wonderful!. Nothing negative to say about the house, it was clean, had everything we needed and a bonus of underfloor heating in the lounge which was lovely. It didn't feel small at all which, with 7 adults, could be a risk but it was very spacious and comfy.

Cons: The only difficult thing was that it took some time to figure out the hot water in the upstairs shower as the switch was in the airing cupboard; hosts could potentially add this into their welcome message/welcome pack.

Very rural, homely, spacious, character cottage. Beautiful countryside.

Pros: Wonderfully rural with good walks in the surrounding area. Fantastic bird life. Good pub in Craswall.

Cons: Mattress toppers would be good.

Beautiful rural cottage near Hay-on-Wye

Pros: Beautiful rural location near Hay-on-Wye. Plenty of space for our family to relax & enjoy.

Cons: The single track road to Hay can be busy with very few adequate passing spaces so the journey time can double (or triple!) if you get unlucky and have to do lots of reversing to let other vehicles by.

beautiful farm house in serene quiet countryside

Pros: beautiful farm house in lovely countryside. close to Gospel Pass and Hay-on-Wye. Remote, quiet, enjoyable, and would visit again.

Cons: The cleaning is a bit on the slack side and the house needs a deep clean to then keep on top of more easily in between guests. There are also a couple of minor things that need fixing - shower door, stair gate etc. But overall we enjoyed our stay and the host was quick at responding to text messages.

We would certainly consider returning at a warmer time to explore all the walks near the house.

Pros: Loved the old farmhouse and all its facilities. Its location was perfect for walking and visiting Hay on Wye. We were warm and cosy throughout our stay especially with the Logburner. There was a good stock of logs and firefighters too.

Cons: We did not use the dining room as it had mould on the wall in one corner and one of our party was allergic to mould.

Lovely remote cottage for relaxation

Pros: Our second stay at this property, it has everything you could need in a lovely remote location. Plenty of wood to keep the fire burning all weekend and plenty of space for a group of 8 to relax

Cons: Nothing to dislike
