Idyllic stay
Pros: Lovely cottage in a secluded location but close enough to Llangollen Centre. There was everything in the cottage we needed including Welsh Cakes and tea/coffee from Martin the owner which we thought was a lovely touch. Martin met us with the key and was really friendly. We even had a large enclosed garden so our dogs were happy too!
Cons: Absolutely nothing to fault

Pros: Great stay in the woodpecker cottage - lovely welcome pack with teas, jams, milk and Welsh cakes - the cottage had everything you would need for a self catering holiday- situated just outside of the town high on the hill - would recommend and stay again -thanks to Martin and Alison our hosts

Perfect for a mountain biking trip to Llandegla
Pros: Immaculate. Welcomes dogs. Very friendly and helpful host. USB charging lamps were cool! Thanks for the milk etc but we accidentally left everything we brought in the fridge lol.
Cons: Bit sparse maybe some footstools and blankets? A warning note for visitors not to overshoot using the postcode would be useful.

Beautiful peaceful location about 1 mile from Llangollen up a steep single track road
Pros: Lovely cottage. Well equipped, clean, comfortable and very peaceful location. The two cottages are adjacent to Foel Farm where the owners live, about a mile up a single track road above Llangollen. Nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Martin, the owner was lovely - very friendly. Great location - lots to do in and around Llangollen - we canoed the aqueduct (highly recommended), walked round Chirk castle and through the canal tunnels and stunning walk up Moel y Gamelin on the other side of Llangollen - the gorse and heather were in full colour in August, all in 3 days. Fantastic trip and we will return.
Cons: Wi-fi was a little weak but nothing to really complain about. Bedroom in the eaves so you do have to be careful not to crack you head on the sloping beams (which I did!).

A gem of a cottage
Pros: Very clean, very well equipped, good quality towels and bedding and attention to detail. Every modern appliance. Very quiet, stunning views. OMG! The sky at night! So many stars! Greeted warmly by the owner.
Cons: Didn't realise the cottage was not within walking distance of Llangollen, but really worth it! Don't program your satnav until you get into Llangollen!
