Maytree Cottage. Compact home in Mid Wales.

Would come again but with own wood! 😉

Pros: The house was spotless and lovely and clean. Lovely location and such a comfy bed which I’m sure was memory foam. This house was furnished tastefully and within walking distance of pub or food establishment

Cons: It was very small which we weren’t used to. Very tiny settee and kitchen which might not bother some. Also we were annoyed we couldn’t get fire going properly but seemed pointless buying lots of wood for one night

Felt like a home from home, everything you needed.

Pros: Cosy, warm, loved the character and the log burner. Loved the decor theme and attention to detail. Cara was very responsive to messages and made you feel like you had a go to if there was any issues.

Pros: Beautiful cottage, very clean. I love the Boho decor. No wood for the fire and had problems setting the radiator but I'm not good with that sort of thing. Other people probably wouldn't have struggled. Lovely and cosy with fire lit after shop visit. Would return here if in the area. Cara was easy to communicate with which made things easy.

Pros: The cottage was so cosy! It was perfect for two people and one dog. Everything we needed was close by and we would definately return. We were welcomed like locals in the pubs.

Cons: The cottage is clearly for two people and the kitchen is very tiny. We did not use or need 6 mugs, glasses, bowls etc. The space taken up by these in the kitchen could have been used to put dry food goods. The carpet had come away from the stairs on one step which we were notified of but we did slip a couple of times off the step but that would have presumably been fixed after we left.

Quaint cottage in great location for all village amenities.

Pros: Well situated with easy parking opposite. Kitchen is small but well equipped for a short stay. Decor is nice and homely and the bed was nice a comfortable.

Cons: It’s an old stone cottage with low doors, so as a 6ft guy I inevitably banged my head a couple of times but it can’t be helped.

Pros: Beautiful cottage and village it's just the perfect stay. Well worth your money I'd even say underpriced

Cons: This place is just perfect I can't fault it. Cara was very helpful and the cottage is beautiful

Wonderful Winter Getaway

Pros: Maytree cottage is a beautiful little place, it had everything we needed and is located ideally for some great walks to the waterfall and surrounding hills. Excellent communication from with Cara before arrival but we didn't need anything during our stay. It was nice to come back and get the wood stove on after our wet walks, and the bonus of a well equipped kitchen for a nice evening meal. There are also two good shops in the village - we used the independent one mostly - a butcher's and a couple of pubs. Plenty of parking opposite so no issues there either.

Cons: Nothing, all good!

Lovely stay

Pros: Wonderful stay here, very quiet and peaceful which was needed. personal details throughout the property were sweet and smile-inducing. Walked to the waterfall and back one of the days which was also lovely. Got very lucky with the weather too, only rained once which meant we could explore the area. Didn't get to check out the pubs but will do if we ever come back. Neither of us had any complaints at all :)
