Great Holiday with two dogs! Peaceful and relaxing.

Pros: We had a fabulous stay here and would definitely go again. The garden was completely enclosed, which is exactly what I needed for my two dogs. The house is comfortable and clean and had pretty much everything we needed. The host sent a detailed email to my husband, which was handy as the upstairs lights weren't working and we didn't notice until it was too late to call them. The kitchen has a washing machine and microwave etc and is functional although not very big. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas, which was perfect for us. It is actually 3 bedrooms not 2, and could sleep 6 people. The area is lovely and quiet and despite there being a pub two doors down, we never heard a peep from there. It looks like it does nice food, but we didn't get around to trying it. The little stream right by the cottage is lovely and you can follow it down all the way to the beach, which has lovely sunsets but was too rocky for us to use. I would definitely go again.

Cons: If I had to be really picky, there is no space to put food. We were only there for a few days so it wasn't a huge deal but was still awkward. There is cupboard space but this is not used very well and could be cleared out to make more space for visitors. There is also a pantry but again there isn't really space to put anything. The other slight dislike was the seating in the dining room. There are a few chairs but the side and back are a bench that is narrow and uncomfortable. I think it would be better with chairs all round, although I understand there is slightly limited space. There was an extendable clothes line outside but just peg bags in the panty and no pegs. Not important but I would take some next time. The area is lovely and quiet and is close to fairbourne. Be warned, that there is pretty much nowhere to get food or shopping after 7pm. We got stuck on our first night there and had to travel to Barmouth, which despite looking close, across the bay, is a bit of a mission to drive to, especially at night when the toll road is also closed. I'm not sure if you could get delivery there but cooking for ourselves would have been awkward with the lack of storage space in the kitchen. Slight annoyance was the shower leaked really badly and we had to use the towels provided in the bathroom to mop up the water. Not a big deal but I felt bad using them for that. Despite these really minor issues, I would most definitely go again.
