Homestay rather than holiday let

Pros: Excellent location, beautiful views. House was comfortable once had enough time to warm up (strong book odour to start with but this went with warmth). Beds were large and comfortable, bathroom also large with good shower and bath. Kitchen well equipped and functional.

Cons: This felt more like a home stay than a holiday let. So many items on surfaces in dining room that it was difficult to find room to place one’s own belongings. Many were breakable so rather nerve wracking with a child. A £40 damage waiver was charged after booking, which was irritating to start with, but was probably just as well given the situation.
