Very nice location

Pros: It was practical and local to where we needed to go

Super friendly, comfortable stay in a lovely, quirky old pub.

Pros: Comfy bed, really clean, toasty warm (it was November) and loads of space. The location was perfect - we like the restaurant in the pub so it was ideal to be staying on the premises. Also it was close to where friends were staying. Every time we've been to the Bear we've had a good experience - such friendly staff. It was also dog friendly - a big plus.

Cons: This wasn't a dislike, far from it, but if you're tall - be aware that there are low beams and low headroom on the stairs. It's an old property so this was part of the character and didn't bother us, but if you're not careful you might bump your head. It was all part of the charm.

Pros: Great pub in a great location with a decent size and comfortable room

Cons: The toilet lid and shower door were slightly broken. They still function but were slightly broken.

Lovely historic hotel

Pros: It's a lovely listed building, with the quirks that come from being so old, narrow staircase etc. Food was excellent and staff were incredibly friendly. Look forward to staying again.

Cons: It's right in the centre of town, and it was a very busy weekend, so a bit noisy. Nothing they can do about that, and we were expecting it.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful and everything worked. Had to watch my head a bit going upstairs because I'm tall, but the food was good (had the fish burger).

Cons: Nothing to dislike. Slept like a log.
