Amazing stay don’t want to leave

Pros: Beautiful cottage with beautiful views, so cosy, comfortable with so many amenities. big comfy sofa with cinema projector, a beautiful woodland walk just behind cottage, lots of games already there. In the kitchen you have a cupboard full of spices plus every glass, bowl, plate, mug or utensil you would need. the fridge with ice machine on front is perfect. The bedrooms are beautifully designed, so cosy and the views are even better from there. Bathroom is lovely, shower is amazingggggg and has some toiletries there for you. Hosts are so responsive and helpful, offered us an extra night for discounted price summer house would be amazing in warmer weather, we did wrap up and sit there in front of the fire. Overall a really amazing weekend would recommend to anyone at any time of the year and hopefully them few bits could be sorted and it would be very nearly perfect.

Cons: There were a few negatives but it wouldn’t have changed my mind on staying there as I would still absolutely come back, but some are very easy fixes. As people mention (and the description) there is a busy main road directly in front of the property, the noise didn’t bother us in the slightest and it does get quieter in the evening. just need to be really careful with dogs or children when leaving. i do think a fenced off area and gate would be a bit better. Unfortunately the fire in the lounge was unable be used due to a fault, we were informed in the morning before we arrived and i know there was nothing that could have been done but just a shame is all. plenty warm enough anyway with heating but would have been cosy. The lighting in the downstairs cottage is fairly dim. The wall lights in the lounge and kitchen could have brighter bulbs in, as well as a couple of the bedside lamps clearly needed new bulbs too. the couple of lanterns in the living room needed new batteries. and the wine fridge doesn’t work. I do think these are easy fixes, i also think the fire would’ve made a big difference to lighting in the lounge. This isn’t to do with the property at all but if you’re wanting to use the train just note that sign does not mean the station is there it is a mile walk away😂

Cosy Hideaway

Pros: The house had beautiful views. Everything we needed for our stay. Local facilities and beaches close. House was very cosy and loved having a coffee in the hideaway. We had a fabulous roast dinner at Brigands Inn. There's a fantastic TV screen. Great for copying up and watching a movie.

Cons: The only downside was that you can't walk to a local pub.

Wonderful place, views amazing

Pros: The property was well equipped had everything you need for your stay. The views were beautiful every day waking up to them was lovely, we sat up on the added outhouse to watch the sunset. The beds were really comfortable we all slept well during our stay at the Dyfi Hideaway its a gem of a place , I would recommend going to a supermarket before arriving as it is a fair way out for a good food shop, we did get lost trying to find the property but we put in the dovey station and we found it well after that was a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone , take a short drive to the lovely waterfall we had a cold dip in it was lovely

Relaxing, comfortable stay in a beautiful cottage

Pros: A beautiful and thoughtfully decorated cottage that’s incredibly comfortable and welcoming. The open-plan kitchen and living area were ideal for socialising — we celebrated our daughter’s 21st birthday here and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The space is fully equipped for self-catering, with a spacious fridge and a double oven and a cosy log burner. The views from both the living room and the sun house are absolutely stunning, overlooking the estuary and a nearby nature reserve. It’s in a fantastic location for exploring Aberdyfi, Aberystwyth, the osprey project, and many other local attractions. There are also lovely dog walks right from the doorstep. The hosts were warm and helpful, with great communication throughout — always quick to respond and happy to answer all my questions. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Cons: The main road, although the stunning scenery and exceptional comfort more than made up for it. It went quiet in the evenings and when inside it didn’t really matter

Exceeded expectations!

Pros: This property is an absolute gem! Beautifully restored and in a fantastic location overlooking the wetlands with the mountains so picturesque in the background. There are some great walking routes in the local area that we were able to enjoy despite miserable weather. It was lovely to have the log fire and projector screen in the evenings for a cozy movie night. The external cabin is a lovely spot for a morning coffee where you can really enjoy the views. It’s the ideal property for family and group stays with great communal areas and spacious bedrooms. Will definitely be rebooking for the summer!

Cons: Nothing really to fault with the property or the facilities. I couldn’t find any oven gloves which would’ve been helpful although maybe I just didn’t see them! The property is right next to a road which is fairly busy during the day so if you’re taking a pooch that isn’t well trained, make sure they’re kept on a lead when leaving the cottage. I thought the traffic might be distracting at night but the road was very quiet from 8pm onwards.
