Benyon Street Townhouse

A beautiful spot to stay.

Pros: The property, while small, has been well updated and made very comfortbale. 1 minute's walk to the Dog & Pheasant which is a great pub.

Cons: The only thing that I have to comment negatively on is the curtains in the two main bedrooms. They are thin pieces of material with no lining. N.B. the small bedroom has venetian blinds. We stayed in February so the early morning light wasn't too disruptive. However, if we had been staying in May or June when it's light at 4 or 5 in the morning, sleep would have been very disturbed. This is an easy problem to fix and could be resolved at not great expense.

Relaxing stay in Shrewsbury

Pros: This is our 5th or 6th time at Benyon Street and I always find it very relaxing. That's why we keep coming! Location, Dog & Pheasant pub nearby, short walk to town, quiet street and neighbours, good to have the garden for the dogs, nearly everything we needed for a weekend away.

Cons: No teabags - had to message the cleaner to send on the Sat morning. No kindling for the fire so although there were logs, we couldn't light the fire properly or get it burning. The cleaner was still there at 3pm when we arrived, even though arrival is 3pm. We had to leave our bags and go straight out. The duvets and pillows are a little uncomfortable now and might need renewing. One of the previous tenants hadn't cleaned up their dog poo (it wasn't us!)... Just little things that used to be great but dropping off a little bit now. But it would not stop us coming again.

Lovely stay, we'll thought out & clever use of space & lovely garden.

Pros: House is lovely, decorated to a high standard. Great location. Very well thought out & comfy. Very well catered for, clean, bedding, towels, blankets etc. Dishwasher, washing machine even washing powder. Milk in fridge, hand soap etc. Coffee machine with pods. Showers are great, beds comfy a soft mattress.

Cons: We had a 20 month old and the stairs are not safe/secure and no gate. We were unable to locate instructions manual for appliances but a reply from owner sorted the hob query.

Comfortable modern house in good location

Pros: Lovely modern property. Bright light kitchen with pretty private garden. Comfy beds. Lovely to walk along the river to get to town centre.

Cons: Just need a bit more china and cutlery to avoid having to wash up between meals. Plenty of pots and pans.

Lovely terrace close to the town

Pros: The proximity to the town was great, and if you have a dog, great parks and walks a stones throw away. The house is really well designed for a small space and the kitchen is lovely and light and well equipped. Both bathrooms are great, lovely showers and comfy beds.

Cons: Small niggle, but the TV was set too high for my liking

Love this place. could move in!

Pros: Location, peaceful street, the house is very relaxing, it is our 4th stay here as we like it so much. Lovely small garden with good furniture for sitting out. Everything you need for cooking and eating. We spent much of the weekend in the house after a foray into shrewsbury on the first day.

Cons: This time, there were a few little omissions like no teabags, not sugar and no coffee pods. Also, no logs for the fire although being June, this might not be a surprise. There is usually teabags etc.

Pros: Very comfortable and bright property close to town with comfortable beds - good showers and nice living areas

Cons: Early check out is the downside in staying in private residences - we let our properties on bookings and do a 12 noon check out and after 3pm check in - so is manageable Stairs to top floor is very steep

Lovely house and garden

Pros: Excellent property in a really handy location, short walk from the station. Spacious, clean and modern. Lovely garden with seating, equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Very roomy loft bedroom upstairs with great view. Simple check in via key safe.

Cons: Nothing.
