Lovely rural retreat!

Pros: This house is in a fabulous rural setting, which makes for a lovely retreat, but it is also close enough to civilisation to provide the essentials. The 2 local shops, Morrison's Local and the Co-Op (open till 10pm every day) are just 5 minutes away and very handy. The house was clean and well equipped with comfortable furniture and beds. Both the kitchen and living room are spacious so plenty of room for all. There is a lovely patio area out the back and a large garden area with seating. Our host Phil was always very responsive and helpful but did not intrude at all. During our stay, we ate out a number of times, not least twice at the local New Gurkha Restaurant which serves a Nepalese slant on curries and was very good. We make many visits to this area but had never stayed in this property before, as it was slightly outside our usual catchment area. We are already planning on making a return trip here.

Pros: A beautiful farmhouse stay! Wonderfully peaceful, full of character, and spotlessly clean. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and the hosts were warm and welcoming. A perfect countryside escape
