Charming experience that was a combo of being on safari and staying in a ski chalet.

Pros: We liked the friendly and relaxed owners and mixing in with other international guests and staff. The location was beautiful and the wandering dogs, ducks and wild ponies heightened every walk through the farm which is beautifully laid out The braai on Saturday night is a treat.

Cons: We stayed in the bell tents which were very noisy due to the high winds. Very comfortable bed linen and snug.

nice experience to get close to nature

Pros: close to the nature. chance to feed and understand various kinds of animals in the farm.

Cons: a bit narrow to drive to the farm, a bit pricey, maybe because of the festival

Rested at Drovers Rest!

Pros: Drovers Rest is lovely! we stayed in The Cart House which was really spacious, well appointed and so warm! Unfortunately the weather meant we couldn't partake in a farm walk but the fact that it was even an option was wonderful! We had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and the water was hot! We cooked for the two nights we were there and had everything we needed. There is WiFi, games, books and various streaming services on hand if needed. The blackout blinds are a great touch and it is honestly so quiet! Marta was in contact and gave us all the information we needed.

Cons: The road in is narrow and not for faint hearted drivers!

Tranquil, soothing. Nice place to chill out

Pros: We loved this little hidden gem of a place. The staff were wonderful. We got a free guided tour to feed the animals. Which was quite soothing. It's a lovely place to just chill. The scenery is wonderful. Even saw a red kite sweeping quite low . Very good value for money
