Fred's Yurts at Hay Festival

I loved the tent which was comfortable and spacious and, even, quite warm

Pros: Location was great - after 3 nights at Tangerine Fields it was good to be so close. Breakfast was disappointing as I can't eat pastries due to allergies.

Cons: food available for breakfast

A good place to stay for a few nights of the festival

Pros: They really make an effort to make the place cheerful, attractive and comfortable. Good facilities considering most of the year it's just an empty field.

Cons: The beds are essentially mattresses on the floor. Comfortable once you're used to them but very low.

Weather permitting this is a great way to see the festival and have fun too.

Pros: Fantastic location, friendly staff and great facilities. Clean and comfortable we will stay again. If the weather had been wetter we would probably have a different experience.

Cons: The cold nights, although the communal fires were useful. If wet I could imagine it would be not so good. The communal tent is a good idea but more diverse breakfast and possibly snacks in the evening would be welcome too.

Pros: Absolutely brilliant stay. Beds are comfy, ideal location and amenities. Really well looked after I would definitely stay again.

Stunning and Cosy

Pros: Comfortable and cosy bell tent, hot showers and flushing loos. hot drinks and food on site as well as a bar/camp fire area. Very quiet location, not too rowdy at night, but a nice buzz until 11/1130. Parking in next field to site. 25-30min walk into town or short bus ride. Close to walking trails and incredible views. Plus on edge of stunning Brecon Beacons.

Magical experience at Fred's Yurts

Pros: As soon as I booked in at the huge reception tent I felt a sense of professional calm. Jessica and her team are super friendly and helpful about everything. The reception tent has lots of comfy sofas, a log burner and a bar for very reasonably priced drinks. Morning coffee is excellent as are the bacon, sausage or vegan sausage baps. The bell tent was spacious with memory foam mattresses. I brought an extra duvet which was key to a cosy sleep. The showers are spotless and hot along with the flushable loos. Middle of the night, the compost loos were much welcome and cosy! Sitting by the fire pit outside reception each evening was a truly magical experience. Bravo to all the crew. I will definitely be back.
