The Old Vicarage self-contained apartments

Pros: Comfortable and clean. Very cosy over a cold weekend. It has everything that you need with a well stocked welcome tray.

Holiday Wanderings

Pros: The location was wonderful for walking trails and is a 7 minute drive from Castle Bishop. The property was very clean and well maintained. The little food basket which was left in our room was a lovely touch and helpful when you have traveled far. The bed was cosy and comfortable, the duvet did have a mind of its own and made its way out of the cover each night but the room was lovely and warm. Everything in the room was perfect for a self catering stay. Our hosts were very gracious. Check in and out was very smooth and easy. We will definitely come back again.

Cons: There wasn’t anything that we did not like.

Pros: Everything you needed in a small space.. Very good shower, Quiet location. Not far from the pub

Relaxing break

Pros: Lovely and peaceful. Very pleasant owners. Would recommend to friends

Cons: The local pub was expensive and food cold when served. Could have done with some Bread and Jam

Convenient and peaceful in a rural village setting.

Pros: Excellent scenic location Peaceful area Lovely little self contained room with private bathroom Lovely touch to have a carton of long life milk, pot noodles, porridge,packet soups, etc on a tray as complimentary. Great to have a standard size fridge in the room. No hob just microwave but that was perfectly fine for our type of stay.

Cons: Nothing we disliked Pillows supplied didn’t quite give us the comfort we needed for good head and neck support but that is possibly a personal preference.

Perfectly peaceful

Pros: Perfect location for a restful short break with my dog. Breathtaking local walks and the use of the property's beautiful garden with a friendly welcome from Rita and Duncan. Super shower I took an outside stove as there are no cooking facilities as stated in the property .

Pros: Everything we needed for a short stay was provided. Duncan, the owner was very friendly and helpful.

Small, but good value for two nights.

Pros: Excellent power shower, and appreciated that flannels were provided as well as towels. Excellent pre-stay communications as well.

Cons: Two minor things - firstly, it would have been nice to meet one of the owners, at some point - collecting from and leaving key in lock-box meant the personal touch was lacking; secondly, found that the chrome cover to the shower drain was not attached, so a small repair is needed (would have mentioned this if we had met).

Pros: Very compact apartment, everything was easily accessible. I didn't have time to visit the garden which the host assured me is beautiful.

Cons: The bedside table lamp needs fixing. It was loose at the top where the switch is.
