Cosy and welcoming

Pros: Our second time staying here and yet again felt very cared for by the staff who are all delightful. Really good ales and food at very good prices. This place is unique in its atmosphere and is so cosy. Talking to other guests, we felt treated like locals and will all return. Thank you for a lovely time.

Great place to stay with fantastic staff

Pros: Location was perfect, in the centre of town. Great selection of drinks and the food was excellent. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were really nice and well appointed. Great breakfast. Nice touch with all the games available to play in the bar for the kids.

Enjoyable stay

Pros: The royal location is perfect, two minutes' walk from the beach, one minute from the co-op, two minutes from the car park and the old town and bridge aren't far at all. The staff was very nice and friendly and always smiling. The breakfast was really nice with an organised booking system. I was worried about the noise of the pub as I was with my 9yo but it hasn't been an issue at all. Good soundproof bedroom. Also, there is a door that goes outside without going through the pub every time we need to go up to the bedroom. Thank you very much, we had such a lovely time.

Pros: Great location, it was perfect for what we needed, food was great atmosphere at night was really good, back in the room we couldn't hear anyone which was nice, we brought are dog with us who was treated to treats at the room which was a lovely treat, will visit again, thanks for the great hospitality.

Fantastic night away

Pros: Everything , loved room 6, staff very helpful and friendly, food was amazing .

Very good would continue to visit again, shame about the car parking.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, room layout, staff service and food was excellent.

Cons: No where to park to unload. There is a car park provided at extra cost but it is at least 200 yards away.

Pros: The Royal is like going home to meet family. So friendly, comfortable, nothing is to much l trouble for the staff. 😄 The breakfast just great. 👍 you order what you want. And good quality food 👍 What didn’t I like. Nothing just fabulous ♥️

Another wonderful stay in a fabulous hotel. Staff amazing, breakfast delicious.

Pros: Location and amenities available in the room. Fresh fluffy towels, fridge and tea coffee making facilities with plenty of milks, sachets, bottled water.
