Oaklands Farm

Ideal location for my one night stay

Pros: I wanted a clean, comfortable room in the area and oaklands was ideal - they were kind enough to ring me before my stay to check I was clear on the location and facilities available (microwave, fridge etc)

Pros: Feels very homely and the people that run it are very friendly

A great place to stay, especially if you like walking. Excellent value for money.

Pros: Great location, and the comfiest bed I've ever known! Beautiful, very spacious bedroom - plus conservatory to relax in. Microwave useful and towels were provided. Looked out onto a gorgeous garden - the outside table and chairs would be great in Summer. Easy to find thanks to very precise directions - even on a dark night.

Cons: Can't think of anything personally, but some guests might like a TV.

Pros: Lovely room. I like that it was in keeping with a traditional farmhouse. The bed and duvet were just wonderful in a cosy, warm room. Slept straight through for over 8 hours! Great walk in shower.

Cons: Will remember my dressing gown next time - conservatory was a little chilly in the morning!

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and beautifully decorated cottage. It felt like a real home away from home – very comfortable and clean, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The location was perfect – nice and peaceful, yet close to a couple of great local pubs where we enjoyed some lovely meals. The highlight of our trip was definitely the nearby waterfall, which was just a 20-minute drive away. The scenery was stunning, and we loved walking up the hills and taking in the fresh air and beautiful views.

Homely stay on a rural farm.

Pros: Nothing not to like. Great communication. Nice welcome from hosts. Everything you need for a stay. I only stayed for one night so I was closer to an event at Bishops Castle. Probably the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in. A great nights rest. A very homely feel to the place, very chilled and relaxed. In beautiful surroundings. If I were to be critical it would be perhaps some blinds on the conservatory for further privacy but not really an issue. Nice to have a good coffee machine too! Thanks.

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting!

Pros: A beautiful setting with gorgeous views. The accommodation was rustic and comfortable. Really friendly and helpful host. Gorgeous resident dog who got along with our own dog. Local pub was nice.

Cons: As we were only staying one night, it wasn't an issue, but a television would be great for a longer stay.

A good place for a one night stay.

Pros: Its location. There was enough space to walk the dog. Easy access to the property.

Cons: It was very basic. Nobody about. The price was very good, which was why it was so basic but there could have been some little niceties I.e a small packet of biscuits.

Pros: Loved the pretty, rural setting and particularly loved the cute little dog who brought me an old apple core to throw for him! The property was clean, cosy and just perfect. The bed, the pillows, the duvet were all fabulous and I personally had the best nights (much needed) sleep. Would definitely stay here again, well worth the money.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.
