Ty'r Afon - River Cottage

A wonderful cottage with lovely hosts

Pros: What can I say! The fridge contained excellent bacon from a local butchers, locally sourced eggs, homemade bread and marmalade, fresh butter - honestly the best breakfast I've ever experienced being away (and we've been to a lot of places around the world). The accomodation was spacious, with a river to the back, a lovely garden and outside seating area. Washing machine, dishwasher, hob, oven, all the utensils we needed. And the host, Dusty met us upon arrival and was friendly, warm and a pleasure to meet (we didn't get chance to see Ros unfortunately, but I'm going to assume that she is equally as nice). A wonderful location, peaceful and perfect for relaxing or exploring Snowdonia.

Cons: To be perfectly honest, there wasn't anything we didn't like.

Pros: Everything was amazing! The thoughtful breakfast items on arrival.. the homemade bread and marmalade were delicious 😋 towels and robes provided..games for the children and even logs for the outside firepit.. Everything was thought of.. the cottage was so cozy, we loved it!

Pros: We loved our stay here . It was beautiful. Really loved the fresh baked bread, the fresh eggs and bacon. It was such a lovely stay. Thank you

Short break

Pros: An absolute beautiful area Lovely scenery and places to walk Situation is good to as very close to bala village

Cons: Having some cleaning products there as areas could of done with a going over

Lovely cottage with the most perfect host

Pros: The location was perfect. The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet area and it has a great amount of space. Everything we needed was there. The host was really lovely and left us fresh bread, bacon, milk & butter, such a nice touch.

Cons: We found the beds and sofas to be uncomfortable but that’s just our preference.

Pros: Very polite people who tend to every need just ask they will try there very best To help

Cons: There were no complaints from us as this was just a few days in-between Running here and there thank Dusty and Ross

Pros: Hosts were very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Location quiet and relaxing. The cottage had everything we needed and lots of outdoor space.

Pros: Absolutely gorgeous location and a lovely holiday cottage, with a stunning little garden. We loved the fruit trees in the garden and the river at the bottom of the garden, very special. We enjoyed the breakfast treats left for us, all delicious. The cottage is close to the National White Water Rafting centre and a short drive away from Bala Lake. All perfect for a long weekend away.

Cons: Few bits of the kitchen equipment need an update, if you are to use the kitchen to cook an evening meal but works ok for a short stay.

Pros: Friendly hosts, lovely little property with garden views over the river. Everything needed was available for a weekend stay. Car/bike is essential to access town - good parking available.

Pros: Quiet and secluded - excellent welcome pack supplied

Cons: Just a little dated but that was part of character
