Cader Mountain View Cottage with Hot Tub in Snowdonia

Overall it was a great weekend out with nice location and great views

Pros: I went to reception and lady showed me where we is the house and where the key is

Cons: Noise neighbours, next door neighbours were very loud and noisy till about 4 am in the morning Because of strong wind , first floor doors were very loud,

Beautiful location

Pros: The location is beautiful, surrounded by fields, farms and mountain views. Parking is available on the driveway directly outside the cottage. The reception was easy to find in the dark and we were escorted to the cottage by the friendly staff member. The bedrooms both having ensuite bathrooms is great, with good showers. The living area is good for a social gathering being open plan.

Cons: We tried but failed to light the hot tub, this may have been the weather or our skills, but more fuel would have helped. The cottage was clean enough to enjoy our stay. But we found rubbish from previous guests suggesting it hadn't been vacuumed throughout. Generally, we felt like a deep clean was needed. The kitchen was small but equipped well, but a baking tray would be great. I would stay here again as the benefits well outweighed the issues.

Pros: Excellent location with amazing views around! Very polite and welcoming staff!

Lovely peaceful retreat

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely quiet location. Comfortable and homely. Warm and cosy. Late check-in. Beautiful surroundings.

Cons: Unable to adjust heating so a bit hot overnight. No windows to open.

Pros: Lovely views. Nice and peaceful. 20 mins from Barmouth. Comfy beds. Small things eg S+P sugar milk cleaning supplies etc. Host was very friendly and very helpful. Enclosed garden for dog, even thou my little chuiaua escaped under a gate haha. Instructions good for the hot tub etc. Local shops not far away for self catering. All kitchen equipment available and easy to use.

Cons: Bad weather, rain entering the property under the front door. Nowhere to hang wet coats. I think the shower was blocked in the double bedroom. Bedroom lamps did not work.

Pros: Everything!!!! The view was incredible, the cottage was clean and homely. The beds were very comfortable with ample towels provided. The skylight windows allowed you to watch the stars whilst lying in bed. Hot tub didn’t take too long to warm and was stunning. Staff were so helpful, a lady walked us to our cottage and also came back to check we had lit the log burner okay for the hot tub and even brought extra fire lighters in case we needed them.

Cons: Nothing, it was perfect

Perfect place to visit Cadir Idris

Pros: Great location, fantastic accommodation, really comfy beds The cottage was just what we needed located in a quiet place with use of a hot tub. Accommodation was very clean and well appointed Starbucks and shop just up the road

Cons: Minor details as overall cottage was perfect We felt that there was not enough ventilation in the bedrooms but we did stay on the hottest day of the year. Also a welcome pack would have been nice with maybe a bit of milk Like I said minor things that really didn’t spoil the stay

Beautiful Cottage in Welsh Countryside

Pros: Beautiful location, good facilities and very clean. The contact from the staff before the stay were excellent. Had no need to contact them during the visit. The location was ideal for our needs (charity walk starting in Dolgellau) and there were plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat nearby. The cottage had everything we needed and the extra touches like blankets and games were lovely.

Cons: Nothing to complain about - only minor issues were that the TV stopped working at one point (assume this was due to the weather affecting the signal, not a massive issue at all) and we had a couple of nighttime visitors (bats - but we were in the countryside so got to expect to see some nature lol). Won't let this affect the raring though as not the owners fault at all.

Wonderful short break

Pros: Beautiful views, lovely cottage clean and comfortable.

Cons: No bowls in kitchen.
