A very pleasant stay with an excellent host. A lovely cottage in the country.

Pros: Very quiet and private location with beautiful country views. Our host was excellent; met us on arrival and was available if we needed anything. This cottage has everything we needed. Private parking was good.

Cons: For someone with mobility issues, access to the bathroom and water at night was difficult as bedrooms are upstairs.

Wonderful, ran by a wonderful lady.

Pros: Mavis Cottage was a truly delightful stay. When we arrived, our host greeted us with a tour of the cottage and a roaring fire. We could not get over how clean and organised everything was, but not in a clinical way. It felt like a home away from home. Sweet treats were set out for us ready for our welcome which tasted divine! When we ran into a little trouble with our hot water, there was no issue and someone came out to look at it straight away for hot showers that evening. I can’t get over how lovely our stay was. A tip for future travellers is to not take the way that the Sat Nav takes you if you are coming from Hay-on-Wye direction, it will bring you past a hotel on a single track bumpy road with an incredibly steep incline. I’d advise you to take the main A roads through Whitney-on-Wye, Eardisley etc which reduces the length of time you’re on a rural single path road, which is much better kept.

Cons: Nothing - it was exceptional.

We loved staying here.

Pros: Beautiful little 2 bedroom cottage. Perfect for a week away. Very clean. Beautifully laid out with all amenities that we needed. Complimentary homemade (very tasty) cupcakes. Warm. Lovely conservatory to relax in. Hosts were very kind and informative. Location down a little country lane far enough to be very peaceful but a few minutes drive to Kington for pubs, food and fuel station, if needed.

Cons: Nothing.

So relaxing and peaceful

Pros: Marjorie was an exceptional host who could not do enough for us. Homemade cakes upon arrival were amazing !! The property was spottlessly clean and the location idealic...Beds were very comfortable and facilites first class. Combined with peaceful location and superb views, this mini break has been one of the best we have ever experienced. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to fully recommend this property and host...Exceptional !!
