The Hotel Commodore

The Hotel Commodore is set in the heart of Wales, in the spa town of Llandrindod Wells. This Victorian hotel offers free WiFi in public areas, free parking, a restaurant, Harry Bar and outdoor seasonal heated pool. This grand, historic Victorian building has been a hotel since 1886 and is within easy reach of all that Llandrindod Wells has to offer, including the spa waters, the beautiful lake and the rows of shops. A former rectory building, this Grade I listed building features Arts and Crafts design. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding valley and hills. Each of the Hotel Commodore's en suite rooms is individually decorated, with a traditional style. Spacious and comfortable, all of the rooms have TVs, telephones and tea/coffee. Hairdryers are in every room and ironing facilities are available on all corridors. The rear garden is secure for dog and children with a large decked area. A traditional cooked Welsh breakfast is available every day. The De Winton Restaurant offers good-value food and the menus change regularly to reflect the best seasonal produce available locally. In 2017 The Hotel Commodore were proud winners of Channel 4's Four in a Bed voted best B&B in the competition.

Great location and nice to relax after work meeting

Pros: Nice large twin room. Lovely breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff

Cons: It took a long time for hot water to reach shower but for the size and age of the hotel it was understandable.

Brilliant hotel & lovely staff - highly recommend.

Pros: Lovely hotel in a central location. The owners & staff were amazing. The hotel is extremely well presented & maintained & the whole hotel is decorated to a very high standard. Absolutely delicious breakfast. Thanks to Andrea, Tony & Jake for a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back!

A comfortable stay for our 1 night accommodation.

Pros: Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. The staff were brilliant as they obliged a large group of us by starting breakfast earlier than scheduled as we were attending a dog show.

Cons: The bathroom was a bit shabby,the water in the sink was slow to drain but didn't cause us any real issues. I appreciated it being dog friendly, but £15 each was a bit too expensive as nothing special was provided for them.

Great hotel stay in the heart of Llandrindod Wells

Pros: Great location in town, walking distance from main places we came to visit. Staff kindly upgraded us as it was husband’s birthday. Very comfortable Stay. Excellent breakfast.

well worth a visit

Pros: Our room was very well equipped with cotton sheets and towels. It had an iron and ironing board and coffee / hot drinks maker. The breakfast menu was extensive and in the evening the restaurant served good food at a very reasonable price.

Pros: Room was clean and comfortable. The public areas were comfortable and nice atmosphere. Staff were lovely going above and beyond to make our stay a happy experience 😊

great value for money - fabulous bedroom, would stay again happily.

Pros: easy to find & park. Lounge areas looked beautiful & sumptuous. we were lucky to be upgraded to a four poster room for our 3 night stay - very much appreciated. gorgeous comfortable room - the size, decor, furniture, distant outlook, nice & quiet aspect/location. good/useful information pack in the room. nice tea/coffee making facilities. young man on duty Sunday evening seemed to be on the ball & proactive. lots of cereal choices at breakfast. nice town location easy for the theatre, restaurant etc

Cons: part of car park was flooded & a tight squeeze to park on Saturday evening. most of the staff were young/nervous/inexperienced. wifi dropped out each time I locked my phone so had to log in each time & it didn't seem to have enough oomph to view videos. hot water did take a long time to come through in the bathroom but the info pack did warn of that. breakfast options a bit limited - no pastries, mushrooms, hash browns/potato. toast was \
