Pros: The owner, Alice, keeps very well appointed and clean rooms, a lovely spacious bar with drinks at reasonable prices. Alice cooked us one of the best full English breakfasts we have had whilst staying anywhere and is a friendly, welcoming and interesting host. Free WIFI with just a password connection (no requirements to enter lots of personal information to log in) and access to beautiful countryside and places to visit, Sited just off the A483 and A490 that can connect you to nearby Welshpool, it is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We would definitely stay at the Railway Inn again.

A cosy stay during a welsh weather warning.

Pros: Very comfortable beds, cosy room temperature despite the wild weather! Dinner in pub onsite, nice and quiet. Very friendly staff. Would happily stay again.

Cons: Location quite remote, no transport links so you do need a car. Bigger time window for breakfast would be great and the addition of veggie sausages to the vegetarian breakfast please x

Pros: Very well organised and wanted to know our plans for breakfast as soon as we arrived. Did slightly feel that we had been waited for, as we had been walking, allowing us to shower and change before asking about our breakfast order would have been appreciated. Really helpful with transport as the taxi companies were not helpful
