Pros: Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely too.

Cons: No complaints.

Comfy beds, clean rooms & friendly staff

Pros: One of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. The room was clean, warm, and the staff were amazing - really friendly and helpful.

Totally exceeded my expectations, superb restaurant.

Pros: This pub/ restaurant is fantastic. The rooms are very comfortable, nicely decorated. It is the staff and the restaurant that really make this place outstanding. The food and wine are excellent and the staff brilliant. I highly recommend it.

A very comfortable inn with fabulous staff

Pros: This inn is comfortable, nicely furnished and remarkably clean. The staff are especially welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious and the ensuite modern, and our dogs were made welcome.

Cons: It wasn’t our first time staying and we were pleased to be accommodated at the rear of the property this time as it is situated at the side of a busy road. The front was noisy. I didn’t enjoy our evening meal as much as 2 years ago, probably because I am on a restricted diet and the meal I chose thinking it would be the best option for me, arrived totally fried and swimming in fat.

Pros: Super location for proximity to Garthmyl Hall. Amazing breakfast at very reasonable price and super friendly staff.

Cons: The hotel is very close to a busy main road which is challenging for light sleepers like myself.

Lovely night at the Nags Head

Pros: The staff were lovely. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We had a great evening meal. It was a pleasant surprise to have a free continental breakfast which we didn’t expect. The small cooked breakfast was about £5 which is very reasonable. The room was comfortable.

Cons: As we had a room at the front of the property there was quite a bit of traffic noise. Not enough to keep us awake though.

Pros: It was perfect for where we needed to be, and it was spotlessly clean

Cons: We had some beautiful food in the evening and I was catered for fabulously but unfortunately having coeliac disease it can be an issue and I was glutened at breakfast and as a result have been unwell for the last 4 days

Wasn't expecting such a comfortable, clean and sparkling place to stay, excellent staff too.

Pros: The place was spotless - in the bar/restaurant and in our room/bathroom. Very comfortable bed, great shower. Good continental breakfast. Very pleasant staff, clearly motivated in their jobs. Good bustling atmosphere, clearly liked by number of people coming in.

Cons: Nowhere to put washbag in bathroom, didn't really want to put it on the back of the loo.

Overall a good overnight stay with the one criticism.

Pros: All rooms spotless. Bedroom well appointed and comfortable. Staff really were first class throughout. Food good.

Cons: We had a room at the front immediately abutting the main road. We could not cope with the traffic noise especially the “ thunder trucks” which seemed to run all night. Whilst we would certainly stay again there is no way we would accept the same room. Sleeping was very difficult. Sad to criticise what was otherwise a very good stopover one night stay.

Overall excellent facilities, food and staff.

Pros: Overall very good, Friendly staff, decent breakfast, comfortable bed, clean bathroom.

Cons: Noisy room due to location next to busy road. It was a very humid and hot night so the window would have been open too but for the noise from the road all night. To be fair a very good fan was provided in the room, which made things much more tolerable.
