Cosy authentic Hay On Wye retreat.

Pros: I loved my stay at Half Moon House. It has such a lovely energy and vibes. It’s quirky, cosy and it has so much charm and character. It’s one big room with curtains to divide spaces at night. There is a wood-burning stove that made evenings feel wonderfully snug, and having a kitchen gave me the option to cook. The bed was also super comfy. The bathroom is just across a corridor and has a large shower and lots of hot water. This is an older property like most buildings in Hay and has a fascinating history. Tam, the host is lovely and gives great recommendations for town. There’s a radio and lots of books to read while you’re there. The location is brilliant, right in the middle of Hay-on-Wye, so I could wander out to the bookshops and cafΓ©s and be back in minutes.

Cons: There was nothing I disliked about my stay. I was able to fully relax, I just wished I’d stayed longer.

Lovely weekend get away, so much to see and do in town, especially if you're a book lover!

Pros: Perfect location in town centre. Warm, had everything we needed. lovely clean bathroom and shower, quaint old cottage, picturesque. Easy to walk anywhere in town, had our old collie dog with us.

Cons: Key was a little stiff in the door, and we were a bit nervous not to break the lovely brass knob

Pros: Location was brilliant and Breakfast at the Granary was excellent. 5 mins to the river and then a lovely walk to the warren.

Great location and a very cozy cottage. Enjoyed our stay there.

Pros: The location was absolutely amazing. Walking distance to everything. The house was cozy.

Cons: The stove, but thats purely cause I didn't use one like that before.

Overall very good, what was needed, to get away from it all

Pros: The location, the history, peaceful and quiet, lots and of space. A place I could live in, if you decide to rent the place on a more permanent basis, let me know :-)

Cons: All good

The property was charming and a perfect place to stay for the Winter Festival, with an accommodating and super helpful h

Pros: It was very cosy for a winter visit, especially the log burner and the curtains to close off the front room. The location was very convenient for wandering around the town, as was the parking space right in front of the property.
