Exactly what I needed for an enjoyable night's stay.

Pros: Friendly geeting. Bar staff, food and drink was very good! Conrinental breafast provided in-room was very good.

If you’re fortunate enough to stay here then you simply must eat here

Pros: Upon arrival we were asked if we would like a dinner reservation and as we had made no plans it made sense And am I glad we did the food was amazing and they catered for gluten intolerance without hesitation even though they hadn’t known prior to our arrival And having an open fire in a cost friendly historical pub was an amazing experience plus another one in the dining room

Perfect for our needs.

Pros: Good location and hosts were very accommodating. We were on a bikepacking trip and missed the book in time originally planned. John stayed open and welcomed us with hot food and a drink, what more could you ask for, if I’m in the area I’ll certainly stay again!

Cons: Nothing not to dislike.

A gem for Offa’s Dyke Path walkers as it sits on the trail!

Pros: The staff were exceptionally helpful. We arrived drenched & John went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable. Supper was delicious! And we had a Male Voice Choir pop in to entertain us after their concert which was great fun.

Cons: Slow trying to fill the bath but the shower was fine!
