Ty Penbont House

Lovely

Pros: What a location! Surrounded by beauty. We had a lovely stay here, breakfast was really good, room was clean warm and cosy.

A perfect place to stay for peace and tranquility!

Pros: Set in a peaceful and tranquil area of Elan Valley. The staff were all lovely. My room was spacious, warm and extremely comfortable with a spotlessly clean bathroom and more importantly had a piping hot shower. Hot drinks available in the room too, and a television which I didn’t use.

Pros: Fabulous place, fabulous staff overlooking absolutely stunning scenery. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Lovely overnight stay

Pros: Everything! It was so central to the dams, lovely surroundings, lots of walks around. I liked that it was dog friendly too. Staff were so nice and chatty and very helpful when asked for information. The rooms felt homely, and was well stocked with tea, coffee, etc. Loved the lil miniatures for the shower( I do love a miniature 😀) Shower was really powerful and hot. Beds were really comfy and the room was toasty warm. Breakfast was outstanding, really tasty and cooked to my requirement (as I like my bacon crispy) I would highly recommend staying at the Ty Penbont House.

Cons: Nothing it was a perfect stay!

Pros: Location, right next to a Dan in the Elan Vally Freshly tastefully decorated Cleanliness, spotless Staff, professional and personable Food, best ever creamy mushrooms and good breakfast.

Cons: I wish they did dinners too!

Perfect peaceful stay

A great stay in an amazing location.

Pros: Great location on New Year’s Eve with the dog away from habitation and fireworks. The staff were amazing and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely cosy, clean room with a really comfortable bed.

Cons: As noted in previous reviews - the shared tea and coffee facilities along the landing was a bit odd and a bit annoying when somebody was boiling the kettle late at night as it was really loud.

A beautiful location.. a lovely stay.

Pros: What an amazing find. OK, I booked out of season, so it was inexpensive. I have no idea what it is during peak season but.. it's worth it! It's a way away from any evening food or drink (it only opens as a cafe during the day)..so you'll have to drive back into Rhayader for supplies or an evening meal or drink... but it's in a beautiful beautiful location, and it's all you need. |The breakfast was tasty and fresh and used excellent quality products. Comfy well appointed rooms, lovely friendly staff. And a great place for stargazing.

Cons: Th lack of on site catering after 4 may put some folk off.. but everything else is perfect.
