Pros: This was the second time we visited. The room was exceptional, clean, and comfy. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend staying here and would love for the bar and restaurant to reopen, especially for the evenings

Lovely stay

Pros: I absolutely loved this property, it reminded me of a lovely ski lodge. Cosy rooms, small but very comfortable and huge walk in wardrobe space to put walking gear. Great location in the black mountains and nice breakfast.

Cons: The Breakfast area was a little cold

An excellent spot for countryside day-tripping. Breakfast is a treat!

Pros: The breakfasts were amazing! We were so pleasantly surprised at the bright, open breakfast room and the offerings. Our servers were locals and recommended both destinations for travel (Tenby was amazing!) and local restaurants. The spot is rural, just 3 miles from Hay-on-Wye which is a beautiful booksellers town. Amid the Welsh countryside which is full of gorgeous views and ancient castles. Unforgettable. The room and facilities were clean and modern.

Cons: The only issue was the availability of plugs in the bathroom and the lighting there. Otherwise we enjoyed the space and the facilities. Our room had two twin beds, and we felt like we were having a sleepover! Very comfortable.

Very spacious.

Pros: Our room was huge which was a nice surprise as usually rooms in the UK are quite small. Everything was lovely. There were no staff when we arrived but self check-in was easy.

Pros: It’s a very nice location, the staff we spoke to were excellent and the breakfast was amazing. The room was basic and comfortable enough. We had car trouble and the staff allowed us to stay on site while the mechanic fixed it.

Cons: The toilet wasn’t secured to the floor.

Lovely to be in your part of the world.

Pros: Breakfast was good and the setting was very peaceful

Cons: Not the fault of the owners but there were some other guests who came in late and were very noisy. It would be good to have a games room or something similar. Frustrating that their seem to be no taxis in the area.

Pros: The room was great I loved that it was authentic. Felt like I was in an old castle

Cons: Location was not as good I thought. There was nothing around and needed to go back to town to get something for dinner.
