Riverbank

A special place to stay.

Pros: Lovely to see the river and have access to it. Walkable to local amenities and town. Comfy beds. Nice big towels. Welcome bottle of Prosecco, milk and tin of cookies. Bath robes a real bonus. Stair lights coming on with sensor very handy with bathroom downstairs. Heated towel rail and fan heater in bathroom. Nice quality wine glasses. We couldn't get the gas heater to work and after I contacted the owner, it was sorted the same day.

Cons: The gutter outside the front door drips water onto you. The induction hob...very tricky to get it to work. Not fun. A coffee table in lounge would be nice, and/or footstool. Potato masher a bit bendy, better quality one would help! A roll of kitchen towel would be nice. And an additional tea towel. And bone china mugs for tea...just my preference! These are more suggestions rather than didn't like because we loved it all.

We would certainly like to stay there again!

Pros: The terraces leading down to the river and the views were absolutely lovely. Thank you so much to the hosts for the Prosecco and box of biscuits, that was a real surprise! The kitchen was very well equipped and the dishwasher was marvellous, however we could have done with a bit more crockery/glasses and cutlery so that we wouldn't have had to switch it on so often. The location was spot-on and the shops/pub/cafés around the house were a great bonus.

Cons: The front door lock jammed on quite a few occasions and we had to ask the neighbours for WD40 to release it. It was even necessary to press in or pull the key to get it to engage - only one of our group managed the knack!! The lock certainly needs attention! The bathroom door lock was also quite difficult to turn and often got stuck. The plants and fencing outside all needed a bit of TLC.

A great spot to soak up the tranquility of Shrewsbury.

Pros: Backing onto the river and 15 mins walk to town - what a fabulous location. Quiet, clean, comfortable, cosy, convenient!

We loved it

Pros: The property was beautifully furnished and cosy next to the river. It was beautiful slight problem parking car. Other than that, the location of the house was super.

Cons: No parking very difficult in the area to get a carpark in space other than that no problem.

Home from home and it was a very enjoyable experience all round.

Pros: We liked everything. The location, cleanliness, fully equipped, very homely. We did not want to leave.

Cons: Nothing, it was just perfect.

Comfortable felt like home

Pros: The house is lovely and the outside is great you can sit outside and watch the river flow by. We would go back as there was a lot to see we were amazed about all the things so close

Pros: This property is literally home from home! It was absolutely amazing. Every little thing thought of from the kitchen to the bathroom. The beds were so comfy! There were blackouts in both rooms & all decor was cosy. Little touches like salt and pepper, coffee pods and things you wouldn’t thinking of bringing were all there too.
