Private Heated Bedrooms at The Bunkhouse in Snowdonia Perfect for Bikers and Walkers

Great location which provided exactly what we needed

Pros: The staff were so incredibly helpful. They send you your door code to get in so it's completely self check in and out. They have a communal kitchen with tables ans chairs, a fridge and freezer, toaster, microwave, hob and a kettle. You can hire out boxes with plates, bowls, utensils, cutlery, pots pans etc for a £10 refundable deposit. They also sell bags of wood for only £6. Also have a reasonably priced vending machine. The pillows were nice quality and the beds were comfy enough. The views are amazing and my children loved waking up and running to see the horses. They have a strict no noise rule which was super helpful when your trying to get young kids to sleep or you are a light sleeping. They also had a gas bbq you can use and a fire place by the picnic tables. But again it's communal.

Cons: The blankets just weren't thick enough so a few of use ended up sleeping with jumpers and stuff on as we got really cold. It does have heating in the room but not everyone in our room can sleep in a hot room. I know that's an us issue but heavier blankets would have been lovely. Don't have any other complaints.

Lovely site.

Pros: Was just what we needed after a long day: a clean room, a comfortable bed, good standard amenities.

Picturesque

Pros: Lots of dust. But heating was fantastic. There were rooms not let but the rented ones were all next to each other and could hear lots of noise at night from chatting amd snoring. Two women with two children could have gone to a bunk room away from the other noisy bikers

Cons: Wipes the beds. Or hoover at least.

Great stay while cycling the Traws Eyrie

Pros: Great Bunkhouse, clean and tidy and a perfect location for our cycling trip along the Traws Eyrie route. Friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend if hiking or cycling in the area.

Pros: The bunkhouse was everything we needed as a group of lads visiting Dyfi bike park for the wknd. 5min drive into town is perfect for an evening meal, a few pubs and an Indian restaurant to choose from. This is our go to accommodation, our 4th stay to date and won’t be our last. The cottage is a luxury if your happy to splash out :-)

Fab location, clean and close to a nice little town for food and drinks.

Pros: For the price paid we were more than happy with the accommodation. Yes the room was small but we expected that as it is clearly shown in the pictures. Everything was spotlessly clean and the location was just beautiful. We had a great time and would definitely return if we are in the area again!

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Having access to a kitchen as great! Also small deposit to hire all the equipment was easy - so much less to pack in the car!

Cons: Not so many plugs in the bunkhouse rooms. The hot water in the kitchen wasn’t working whilst there - but they were trying to repair it. Proper kettles would have been easier and quicker aswell.

Cosy place

Pros: I liked the space in the kitchen, the outside tables and the bunk beds.

Cons: The distance from the Bunkhouse and toilets was too far away

Pros: I liked the support and care we received from the host. We were welcomed by Sandra, and we arrived quite late at night. She constantly stayed on the phone to give us the right directions. We were moved to guest house as the toilets for the bunk house were separate and we were not aware of this at the time of booking. Our stay was very good and that was due to Sandra who treated us really well. Location is absolutely a gem. Surrounded by mountains and river. The facilities at the premises are great and are kept clean.

Cons: Some guests left rubbish on the counters, but the host can't be blamed for this. This is up to each individual how to clean after using a facility. The bunk house kitchen could do with a little update.
