The Mytton and Mermaid - Brunning and Price is a splendid Grade II-listed building on the bank of the River Severn, England’s longest river. Built in 1735, the hotel has a picturesque garden and extensive lawns down to the riverbank. Excellent place for a short stay.

Pros: Dinner was excellent. Room very comfortable & clean. Dining room was full of character and warming.

Cons: Breakfast service was very slow and first time round the order was wrong. Need more serving/ kitchen staff and notepad to write down the order

Wonderful few days stay.

Pros: I cannot fault the Mytton and Mermaid. Hotel, food and especially the staff were exceptional, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely visit again.

Pros: Breakfast was great the gentleman serving us was not very happy when greeting us but very excited and happy when talking to his colleagues (nothing worse than a customer!)

Excellent food, staff and service in a lively well maintained restaurant and bar, bedroom could have been cleaner.

Pros: Staff very friendly and great service food was excellent

Cons: Bedroom could have been cleaner, lots of cobwebs, dust and black mould in floor and shower grout.

Perfect location good sized comfortable room

Pros: The location was perfect for us as it was close to the m54/m6 for the return part of our journey from Mid Wales to Surrey .

Cons: Would have loved to have been able to order room service from our room

Superb stay at the Mytton and Mermaid - 100% recommend.

Pros: Beautiful location, gorgeous property, immaculately clean throughout with the public spaces bright, full of light and plants, airy and fresh, with the bedroom carefully decorated to be comfortable and cosy. The food and drinks were great, breakfast was lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, and all in all one of the best spots we've stayed for years.

Cons: N/A No issues at all.
