Pros: we had a very nice 1 night stay very good welcome lovely evening meal and a very good breakfast highly recomended.

Comfortable but a little remote.

Pros: The room was very comfortable. The bed was amazing. The staff were all very friendly. Poached eggs at breakfast were very good.

Cons: The walls are very thin and I could hear folk talking in the next room. My husband is deaf and I was afraid he would talk too loud and disturb people also I have to speak loud to him when we are in bed and he does not have his hearing aids in. Can’t be helped but the creaky floor boards. I was conscious of disturbing other people.

This suited us very well and we were happy with the comfort and ambience and welcome.

Pros: All the food we ate at The Roast Ox - two dinners, one of Welsh Lamb and the other of fresh cod and chips - were excellent and very enjoyable as were the breakfasts

Pros: Lovely character to the pub.comfy bed. Pillows were a bit soft.but other wise fine. Lovely breakfast

Cons: Bit dated in the rooms/bathroom but clean and fine for an overnight stay. Location of plugs by bed/ sideboards were awkward as my sister had a sleep machine but managed.

Pros: Great pub with exceptional hosts, character, food, beer and location. Could not have chosen better country pub.

Pros: We were attending a dog show at the Royal Showground, enjoyed the rural location. Food was lovely and staff friendly.

Cons: Would have liked an earlier check in option. No other complaints.

Well worth a visit !

Pros: Lovely location with parking in the countryside. Food was great and the landlords were very hospitable. We also got to meet Michael the cat 😂
