Set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by an original moat, the Albright Hussey Manor is a privately owned 16th-century Manor house bursting with original charm and period features, with an attached modern wing. Ideally located just 3 miles from the town center with plenty of free parking. Secured parking and EV charging is available upon request. The individual rooms each have unique character many with four-poster beds. Rooms are traditionally decorated with classical art and ornamental lamps, and offer tea and coffee facilities, and en suite bathroom with free toiletries. There is a residents bar, sun terrace and a private dining room. Please inquire at the time of making your booking as to what evening food is available, as the dining room is not always open (when available evening food needs to be pre ordered). In the week a Continental breakfast is available with cooked breakfasts available at the weekends. Unless prearranged for group bookings. This is the perfect location for when working away from home, visiting the local area or for when attending a local event at the manor or nearby.

Lovely Country Hotel

Pros: Lovely room. Comfy bed. Staff were really helpful. Really nice dinner in the restaurant.

Cons: There was only a soap in the bathroom, no shampoo or shower gel so I couldn't wash my hair.

Pros: I love staying here it’s really nice and with the gardens and the black swans and is not to far from the town

Just a wonderful experience.

Pros: A wonderful place for a special occasion. In our case an 80 th birthday.Room for the meal was breathtaking when all laid out. Warming fire completed the winter scene.Staff on hand for every need and friendly helpful and considerate at all times,without exception. Food delicious and professionally served. Lovely relaxing evening with those staying over,and delicious sandwich supper.The upgraded room to a four poster was amazing. Thank you all for such a special time,which will always be remembered.

Cons: Nothing really,but care needs to be taken on the slight slope between the lounges and reception.

The one night we stayed was good, would stay again as the location is good for visiting the town.

Pros: Location was good for Shrewsbury town. Bed was comfy. The property was clean. Staff were lovely, very helpful.

Cons: The room was cold but they immediately bought a heater. The bar was freezing cold but the bar manager put the heating on. Breakfast for a Sunday morning finished at 9:30 am a little early for us on a Sunday morning unfortunately most of the food on the plate was cold.
